How long have you lived in the Lake Country region?

We bought our lot in Reynolds Lake Oconee in 2002, built our home in 2007 and moved to the area full time in 2010.

Where are you originally from?

I am from Michigan. I was raised in the metro Detroit area, went to college at the University of Michigan, and moved to Naperville, Illinois when I married my husband Larry in 2006.

What do you enjoy most about living here?

Love Where You Live!™ is the slogan that I have been using for the last 2 years in my real estate business.  I think this is the best way for me to describe life here at Lake Oconee.  I love living here because of the people.  This is an amazing place to call home.  From raising a family to active retirement there is something for everyone here at Lake Oconee.

Where is your favorite place to eat in the region?

I love all of the restaurants here at the lake and with 3 active boys we eat out a lot so this is a tough choice.  My favorite breakfast place is Cafe 44, lunch is Gaby’s at the Ritz Carlton and dinner would be Silver Moon.

Who are some of your inspirations in life?

I have a lot of people who have inspired and motivated me throughout my life and career.  My greatest accomplishment is being a mother to my 3 sons and they are the most inspirational people in my life.  My son Matthew is the most positive, enthusiastic and loving person I have ever met.  He only sees the good in everyone and finds joy in even the smallest things.  He reminds me daily that there is a joy in even the smallest things.  My son Jordan has amazing talents including athletics and art.  He cares for other people and I often witness him taking care of others, because they need help or they are younger and he wants them to feel included.  My son Brandon is an independent and also gentle person.  He takes care of himself and those around him, he is the first to step up to any challenge.  I am so blessed to have these three young men in my life and to be their mama!

Do you have any hobbies?

I enjoy tennis, golfing, reading, spending time out on the lake and relaxing by the pool.

What does a healthy day look like for you?

My dream day would be to wake up, get the kids to school, head to the gym, have coffee with friends, lunch by the pool, dinner and movie night with my family; but I am a Realtor so most days are anything but ordinary.  This makes being a Realtor fun, but it also makes it hard to plan.

Anything else you’d like the readers to know about yourself or living in the Lake Country region?

Lake Oconee is an amazing place to call home.  Anytime spent with family and friends at Lake Oconee is the best time. Love Where You Live!™
