In this week’s Personality Profile, we are featuring Kristin Marshall of The Pickled Okra, a casual restaurant in Lake Oconee
Kristin was gracious enough to respond to our questions below!
Can you please tell our readers what you do for a living?
My name is Kristin Marshall and my fiancé is Grayson Givens. We are the owners of The Pickled Okra. My family has owned the location in Forsyth since 2017. We decided to open The Pickled Okra to give the community something different and a kid-friendly environment. We want to see our community grow and we plan to do as much as we can with the local community, first responders, and military vets. We both have a lot of respect for law enforcement and military!
Where are you originally from and how long have you lived in the Lake Country region?
I moved to Lake Oconee 6 years ago from Florida but I’m from Forsyth, GA. Grayson has lived here for about 16 years.
Do you have any hobbies?
Our hobbies include anything outdoors; we both absolutely love to hunt and fish.
Who are some of your inspirations in life?
Grayson and I have a 2-year-old son (Ridge), who will be 3 in November. Ridge is our motivation every day. We try to better our lives every day for his future.
