Tim Green Designs, a premier name in interior design, has solidified its community support as a top sponsor for the 2025 Heart and Soul Gala, our region’s premier black-tie fundraiser benefiting St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital.
With over 30 years in business, Tim is no stranger to creating luxurious and personalized spaces, but it wasn’t until two years ago that Tim officially opened a store in Lake Oconee. Since then, the business has blossomed, primarily serving clients in the lake community while maintaining a client base that spans from California to South Florida.
Having lived in Atlanta for 40 years, Tim’s decision to open a store at Lake Oconee came after working with several clients in Reynolds and falling in love with the relaxed lifestyle and friendly atmosphere.
“Compared to living in Atlanta, this was an obvious choice,” Tim shared. That decision was solidified a year ago when Tim and David, his husband, moved to Lake Oconee full-time after purchasing their home in The Landing. Their family, including their beloved puppy Daisy, has embraced lake life fully.
Tim Green Designs’ commitment to the community extends beyond just beautifying homes. The decision to step up as a top sponsor for the Heart and Soul Gala reflects Tim’s belief in supporting the hospital and its efforts to expand essential services. “The hospital serves our entire community, and it’s important to support them in what they’re doing for Greensboro,” Tim said. “We’re lucky to have such a strong team at St. Mary’s working to improve healthcare in our area.”
Since opening the store at Lake Oconee, Tim has been pleasantly surprised by the overwhelming support from the local community. “People always ask me what surprised me most about opening my business here, and my answer is always the same—I never expected the community to be so supportive and welcoming,” he noted. “I have an overwhelming sense of pride being part of this community, and I want to give back as much as I’ve been given.”
With the Heart and Soul Gala just around the corner, Tim Green Designs’ involvement underscores the importance of businesses rallying behind vital community initiatives to make a meaningful impact in the lives of the region’s residents. Proceeds from the Heart and Soul Gala will go toward the expansion of St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital, helping to fund healthcare services for the growing community.
“We are incredibly grateful to have Tim not only as a gala committee member but now as a major sponsor,” said Riezl Baker, chair of the Heart and Soul Gala Committee. “His generosity and passion for supporting our hospital’s mission is inspiring, and it truly highlights his commitment to this community.”
The Heart and Soul Gala is the area’s most highly anticipated fundraiser and will be held on Feb. 15, 2025 at the Ritz Carlton Reynolds Lake Oconee.
