Q: What are the premiums for Medicare A & B?
Chris: Thank you for the question. Part A does not have a premium if you or your spouse has worked 4 quarters and paid into the Medicare system. Part B has a standard premium for 2019 of $135.50. The Part B premium is income-based which means Medicare will charge more premium if your income is higher.
You can enroll online through ssa.gov or enroll by visiting a local social security administration office.
