For years, a throbbing hip pain kept Michelle from living the life she loved. Born with hip dysplasia that had been corrected during childhood, she never expected the pain to return later in life. But over time, discomfort turned into daily agony—making it difficult to stand for long periods or even walk without pain.
“I tried everything,” she recalled. “Chiropractors, different creams—nothing gave me lasting relief. It was always just a temporary fix.”
That’s when her mother-in-law stepped in with a suggestion that would change everything. Having trusted Dr. Ploska at Regenerative Orthopaedics & Spine Institute (ROSI) for her own successful knee surgery, she recommended that her daughter-in-law see him for her hip pain.
At ROSI, her first visit was with Lisa, one of the nurse practitioners. Lisa took time to understand her history, examined her right hip, and administered a cortisone injection to relieve the pain. The shot helped—for about a week—but soon the pain returned stronger than ever.
After further evaluation, the team determined that the next step was hip replacement surgery. Although nervous, the patient trusted the ROSI team completely.
That decision proved life-changing.
Today, she’s pain-free—no more aching hips, no more back pain, and no more struggles with her feet. The woman who once feared standing for too long now enjoys walks with her family, stands with confidence, and even wears high heels again without discomfort.
“I used to fall because of instability from my hip pain,” she said. “Now, I’m walking pain-free, living my life again, and I couldn’t be more grateful.”
Thanks to the compassionate care and expertise of Dr. Ploska, Lisa, and the entire ROSI team, she’s back to doing what she loves—pain-free and full of life.
At Regenerative Orthopaedics & Spine Institute, restoring mobility and improving quality of life isn’t just what they do—it’s who they are.
